Nice design, working perfect
I am generally veey pleased with the product. However, when cutting anything over 1mm thick, the cut ends up being at a slight angle and not perfectly square vertically. I have tried tightening the hinge and trying to twist the cutting arm while cutting. The cutter is so well made and robust that neither of these corrected the problem.
Except for the above, I am, however, impressed with the quality of this cutter. The robust all aluminum construction, precision angle and length guides, and cutting mat layout is impressive.

When I cut through a plastic spar about halfway through the blad flexes a little bit and i get a twisted cut…needing sanding or sawing. Not ideal

I found that even using styrene strip .060 thick that I still had a nice, square cut on the end.

A good and solid cutter
I did a lot of research before I landed on purchasing this cutter. I'm building N-Scale wooden trestle bridges that requires a lot of repetitive cutting. This does a brilliant job. As a product it is beautifully made, solid and package to a high quality. I can't recommended highly enough. Full confidence in purchasing more DSPIAE products.
